SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — AT&T wants to hire more than 100 call center employees in Springfield as part of a larger hiring plan for Missouri.
150 more will be hire for a call center in Cape Girardeau, and 50 people will be hired at retail stores in the St. Louis area, the company says.
“We are seeing increased demand from consumers and businesses for applications and services supported by high-speed networks,” said AT&T Rep. Kathy Swan said in a company news release.
The hires are part of a commitment AT&T made earlier this year as part of a labor agreement with the Communications Workers of America to hire 3,000 people in the Southwest Region.
