I've checked the spark plug and cleaned the air filter, so that eliminates them. Has anyone got any ideas? I can't take the bike far because it'll cut out, but after about 10-15 it will start again which is unusual. Its also just based its MOT with no advisorys so that's all well and good. I'm only 16 too so I'm new to the whole scene. Any help would be appreciated.

Try with basic checks: change spark plug, spray a bit of carb cleaner into the carb (dismount the air box, give a spray when off and one when on, the put the air box back in), look for leakages in the fuel line.

Does it dye at idle or while running?

Hi. Just bought the same one. 2007 with 2000 miles. Runs fine for 15-20 then shuts down. Starts again after 3-5 minutes. Not a fuel issue. Plug was changed before I bought it and carb, etc cleaned. Any other ideas? Is there a thermal shutoff?
Thanks.

It was the CDI unit on my scooter, easy enough to change and will only be around $50. I took the scooter too many services and they could not diagnose a problem then I just decided to change the CDI and it worked
