First Consultation
Your dentist or prosthodontist will take X-rays and impressions of your teeth to make beautiful, functional crowns for your dental implant.
Implant Procedure
The entire procedure, from initial consultation to completion, can take up to a year but normally takes around five to six months.
There are two major parts of the dental implant procedure. The first part of the implant process is the insertion of the titanium rod, which involves your dentist or prosthodontist making an incision in your gum and placing the small titanium post into your jawbone. This is a replacement tooth root and the foundation for a strong implant.
When that heals and fuses to your jawbone, you will have a second procedure during which your dentist or prosthodontist will place a crown on top of the titanium rod. The result is a natural-looking, strong replacement tooth!
