Italy-Based TIM Gets Mobile Olympic Rights For '18, '20 Games

Italian telco operator TIM signed a deal with Discovery to become the “Official Mobile Broadcaster” of the '18 and '20 Games, giving it rights to carry Eurovision’s production of the events across Europe via mobile and broadband. In addition to picking up the rights to market with the Olympic rings, TIM will roll out a 24-hour news and highlights channel, plus exclusive short-form content focused on local athletes. As part of the deal, TIM subscribers get access to the Eurosport Player, which will feature alternate feeds including VR and AR content.
