Round Two Fixtures Announced For Hurling And Football Championships

The fixtures for the second round of the Clare Senior Football Championship, Senior Hurling Championship and Intermediate Championships have been announced.

In the Senior Hurling Championship:

Reigning Hurling Champions Ballyea will come up against 2015 Champions Sixmilebridge. The other teams drawn from the winner pot there sees St Joseph’s Doora Barefield against Newmarket on Fergus, Whitegate playing Eire Og and Inagh/Kilnamona matched with Clonlara.

In the losers draw for the Senior hurling: Feakle will face Clooney Quin, O’Callaghans Mills will take on Wolfe Tones, Cratloe will play Crusheen and Clarecastle will go against Tulla.

In the Intermediate Hurling Championship:

The winners were drawn as Parteen to play Ruan, Broadford to meet Corofin, Scariff against Clarecastle and Kilmaley to tackle Smith O’Briens.

The losers pot sees Sixmilebridge’s first team against Clonlara and their second team meeting neighbours Cratloe while Newmarket will play Inagh/Kilnamona and Killanena will go up against Tubber.

In the Senior Football Championship:

The eight winners from last weekend were drawn as such: Champions Kilmurry Ibrickane will continue their defence of the Jack Daly with a game against O’Currys, Eire Og to battle Cratloe, Ger Kelly’s Lisseycasey up against Clondegad and Doonbeg hoping for victory against Cooraclare.

In the losers pot, Newly promoted Kilfenora against St Joseph’s Doora Barefield, Ennistymon to play Kilkee, Wolfe Tones against Corofin and St Breckan’s to face 2015 Champions St Joseph’s Miltown.

The fixtures for those all matches will be announced in due course.
