Our team works hard to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in the dental field. From leading-edge laser dentistry to new gadgets that take preventive care at home to the next level, we’re constantly impressed and excited about the ways new dental technology is changing oral health. For that reason, we love educating our patients about the modern services and procedures we offer. Today, we’d like to teach you more about two of the ways our offices use new dental technologies: laser dentistry and sedation dentistry.

Laser Dentistry

Our state-of-the-art laser dental treatment allows us to treat gum disease without surgery, minimizing your discomfort during the procedure as well as any post-procedure bleeding or swelling. We use our dental laser to get rid of inflamed gum tissue, which limits the need to use a drill and the need for anesthesia. Because dental laser treatment is much less invasive, we find that our patients often are able to relax and feel more comfortable during their treatment for gum disease. We can also provide laser gum contouring for folks wishing to reshape gummy smiles.

Along with treating gums, dental lasers can be used to perform a variety of other treatments, including removing tooth decay and plaque, taking a biopsy, and even whitening teeth.

Sedation Dentistry

In addition to our dental laser treatment options, we use technology in many other ways to help provide the best care for our patients. For example, we offer several different sedation options for those who don’t feel comfortable at the dentist. Providing quality care is our ultimate priority, so don’t want any of our patients to feel anxious about their appointment or even avoid the dentist altogether.

To learn more about our laser dental treatment, our sedation options, or any of the other ways we use technology to improve our patient’s experience, contact our offices today at 330-423-6779 (Streetsboro location) or 440-281-8031 (Elyria location). Both of our locations are open on Saturdays and have evening hours to make your trip to Signature Smiles Dental as convenient as possible.
