ASUS on Wednesday announced the ZenPad 10 Z301MFL and ZenPad 10 Z301ML, two new Android tablets with similar names and somewhat different hardware. The Taipei, Taiwan-based consumer electronics manufacturer took to Computex 2017 to reveal six members of the new ZenPad 10 lineup in total, three variants of the Z301MFL and Z301ML each. The latter model is the most affordable one, boasting a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display panel with a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels protected by 2.5D glass. The device is powered by the MediaTek MT8735W, a 64-bit system-on-chip (SoC) with four cores clocked at a maximum frequency of 1.3GHz. The Z301ML will be powered by a 4,680mAh battery that’s said to provide up to 13 hours of video playback time and charges via a USB Type-C port. The tablet will be available in three variants, the cheapest one of which will feature 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The other two models both boast 3GB of RAM and will ship with 32GB and 64GB of internal flash memory, respectively. All devices come with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB of expandable storage, the company said.

The Z301MFL is a somewhat more premium member of the new ZenPad 10 series, featuring a 10.1-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. It’s powered by the MediaTek MT8735A which is also a quad-core piece of silicon, though this particular model is clocked at 1.4GHz. The three variants of the Z301MFL are identical to the Z301ML variations in terms of RAM and storage space. Both tablets are equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front sensor and run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, presumably enhanced with ASUS’s proprietary software suite. Likewise, all tablets are compatible with the company’s keyboard dock that also supports a number of other ASUS-made Android tablets.

More details on the availability and pricing of all of the company’s newly announced tablets should follow shortly.
