The idea of creating and presenting the video through a visual installation is a collaboration between the musical project Kan Wakan and the visual studio Poliforma. This new approach of representing a music video gives the viewer a possibility to observe the animation in a three-dimensional space, to track the process of its influence on a human trapped in it. The projection of the video on the transparent walls of a cube and its transformation in a visual installation is our wish to convert the viewer into a participant. The 360-degree graphic animation and the trapped in the cube girl are struggling to grasp the little space they share as if they were equal opponents. Using the magic of the dancing theatre the artist interacts with the animation while the camera traces each of her attempts to escape or to shift the space, which reinforces the viewer’s feeling of live presence and participation in the process. There are social symbols and messages hidden in the vision, which when read on a subconscious level give a broad spectre for interpretation.
The technical realization of the installation happens through the technique ‘projection mapping’.
