Yes indeed

Mythili Sampathkumar, "Donald Trump and Mike Pence approval ratings hit new low in latest Fox News poll", The Independent 5/26/2017:

Voters polled were also asked “do you think America’s best days are ahead of us or behind us?” A majority – 62 per cent – said yes, they are.

    No, they are not.

I say it's six of one and half a dozen of the other.

That means 38% of the people surveyed believe the US's best days are the present…

[(myl) Or had no opinion… though of course the Independent article's description is botched. From the report on the poll at Fox News:

Despite those worries, there’s still quite a bit of optimism: 62 percent of voters believe America’s best days are ahead.

I would interpret the Q (as apparently 62% of the respondents happily did) as, "Do you think America's best days are either ahead of us or behind us?" (as implied by Lai Ka Yau above). So to fill things out we need the results for: "Do you think America's best days are neither ahead of us nor behind us?" and "Do you think America's best days are both ahead of us and behind us?". (The non-conjunctive answers are not really interesting, including, hopefully, to the pollsters.) (If orally posed, the quoted poll question above I'm sure had rising, not falling intonation at the end.) That's my explanation and I'm sticking to it.
