Last year, Southern California’s top high school athletes were honored with help from ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel, FOX’s Erin Andrews and Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts in the 2016 SoCal Prep Legends Awards.

Another year of game-winning touchdowns and walk-off home runs has passed, which means it is time to do it again. On June 11 at the Sports Museum of Los Angeles, winners of 11 categories will be honored, including Male and Female Athlete of the Year, Male and Female Scholar Athlete of the Year, Most Inspirational and Most Outstanding Individual Performance.

In the coming weeks, the Southern California News Group will announce the nominees for the 11 categories. The event will be hosted by KABC sportscaster Rob Fukuzaki, and former Lakers great James Worthy is scheduled to speak to the honorees. KABC-7 will air the event at 6:30 p.m. on June 24.

This year’s event is expected to include the same kind of stardom as last year’s production, which had the Rams, Dodgers and Galaxy play big parts in the show.
