YouTubers Alissa Violet and Tessa Brooks Might Be Fighting, According to Fans

The receipts are in the tweets.

Friendship breakups can sometimes be as dramatic and painful as relationship breakups, and YouTube stars Alissa Violet and Tessa Brooks might be going through a rocky split right now – according to fans, that is.

It all started when Alissa posted two photos on Twitter over the weekend with the caption "I am the Facetune queen." The photos are almost identical, except with one major difference: it appears as though she's photoshopped Tessa out of one them, creating a brand-new photo of herself standing alone.

To be fair, we're all probably guilty of cropping our friends out of photos from time to time (remember the #DiddyCrop meme?) but this struck some fans as a slightly savage move. For what it's worth, fans also speculated in the comments that their friendship breakup dates back to the alleged drama that went down between Alissa and Jake Paul earlier this year.

From there, things got a little messy. When fans started calling Alissa out on her "Facetune" skills, she responded by saying: "No hate, the pic is just better with me," adding a smiley face for good measure. Soon enough, model Erika Costell joined the conversation, tweeting, "I will never understand why ppl use their influence on social media for anything other than positivity." It was the alleged subtweet heard 'round the world, and Alissa seemed to take the bait, responding with several tweets about fake friends and backstabbing. You with us so far? No? That's OK, we've got the receipts below.

As for Tessa, she also took to Twitter with a message of her own. "Forgiveness is essential for healing," she wrote. "Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Just let it go and move forward into your peace." Of course, neither Alissa nor Tessa have clarified either way regarding the fan speculation, so we'll have to take all these Twitter interpretations with a grain of salt. But that certainly hasn't stopped fans from theorizing and reading between the lines – or the 140 characters – for clues.
