Noblesville man found deep in woods after empty vehicle prompted search

Update, Thursday, 3:30 p.m.:

A missing Noblesville man has been found after an empty vehicle found in the woods prompted a search.

Searchers found Mark Farmen, 52, in a remote area of the Morgan-Monroe State Forest shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday. He was alive but suffering from severe hypothermia, according to a statement from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

A search for a Noblesville began after his vehicle was spotted in the Morgan-Monroe State Forest.

A black 2013 Volkswagen CC sedan was found late Wednesday inside the forest, according to a release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. It was identified as belonging to Mark Farmen, 52, of Noblesville.

Farmen was last seen Monday morning, according to the release. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, around 178 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Indiana Conservation Officers and members of both the Noblesville Police Department and Morgan County Sheriff's Department are asking for the public to help in their search for the man.

They ask that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts or who might have call Indiana Conservation Officer Central Dispatch at (812) 837-9536.
