MORE sci-fi stars have been added to the line-up for Loughborough’s first ever comic-con.

Stars including a former Doctor Who assistant and Harry Potter’s body double will be appearing at the event set to take place in October.

Sophie Aldred, who was companion to the seventh Doctor will be joining stars already announced including former S-Club 7 star - Hannah Spearitt and Clive Russell who appeared on Game of Thrones as ‘The Blackfish’ Tully.

Sophie Aldred played Ace in the popular TV series throughout the 1980s and was companion to The Doctor played by Sylvester McCoy.

Also announced is Paul Warren -an actor most known for playing Varmik in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and who was also Daniel Radcliffe’s body double in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Paul has also appeared under heavy prosthetic makeup in such films as Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: The Dark World, Clash of the Titans and World War Z.

Flying in from across the pond is well known ‘Walker’ and regular on popular zombie drama, The Walking Dead, Michael Koske.

Koske will be joined by comic book artists including Lee Townsend, Lew Stinger and founder of Flintlock Comics - Steve Tanner.

Event organiser and American film fan Paul Waidley told the Echo the festival will now take place at Loughborough Leisure Centre on Browns Lane, rather than at Loughborough University, but will still be on Sunday, October 22, from 10am to 5pm.

Paul said: “We still have a few guests left to announce but I am really excited about everyone that I’ve got so far and I think that its going to be really good event.

“I hope the people of Loughborough will enjoy their first ever comic-con event.”
