This Wedding Gown Was Inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker's Met Gala Dress

Oscar de la Renta's former creative director Peter Copping left behind a legacy of breathtaking wedding dresses when he departed from the fashion house. So when Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim stepped in to take his place, they had some rather big shoes to fill. But boy, have they filled them!

The duo's first bridal collection at the helm of the house was nothing short of stunning, filled with playful notes while still staying true to the signature Oscar brand. By far our favorite part of the bridal collection was one particular look that paid homage to our No. 1 fashion-girl crush, Sarah Jessica Parker. The ensemble included a ball-gown skirt adorned with the Oscar de la Renta signature, a feature the Sex and the City star rocked on the red carpet at the 2014 Met Gala. What a throwback!

Ahead, refresh your memory of Carrie's — er, Sarah's — iconic Oscar dress and see how uncannily similar it is to our favorite look from the recent bridal collection.
