Video: Christian McCaffrey high school highlights
Former Stanford star was barely touched on many of his long touchdown runs in high school.
Christian McCaffrey can do it all: run inside and outside. Catch the ball. Return it. He's faster and stronger than most projected.
That's why he's climbed right up the draft boards.
He showed all those signs in high school as well at
Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, Colo.), where in four seasons he piled up 5,335 rushing yards and 87 touchdowns.
As a receiver he hauled in 144 passes for 2,515 yards and 46 more scores. He led the Eagles to a combined record of 50-6 and four state championships.
What else could he have possibly done or accomplished?
McCaffrey continued all that success at Stanford, where he was runner-up in the Heisman Trophy voting in 2015.
Now analysts have him going as high as No. 8 in Thursday's NFL draft. He blew away onlookers at the combine and erased any doubts about his first-round potential.
