Manchester United are just three games away from securing their place in the Champions League next season.

The extra-time victory over Anderlecht took United into the semi-finals of the Europa League, knowing that victory in the competition would see them return to European football's top table next season.

Standing in their way is Celta Vigo, who are themselves bidding to reach a major final for the first time in their history.

Celta's only previous success in Europe came in the Intertoto Cup.

United are the overwhelming favourites to make the final but Celta have had some impressive results throughout the course of the season - including a Copa del Rey victory over Real Madrid over two legs.

But which Celta stars should United be most wary of?

Iago Aspas

Position: Forward

Age: 29

Nationality: Spanish

Former clubs: Sevilla, Liverpool, Celta Vigo

Aspas is back at the Celta after a failed move to Liverpool back in 2013.

His career at Anfield is pretty much defined by the low corner he played to Willian just before he scored Chelsea's second, effectively ending Liverpool's title challenge in 2014.

But since then, he has turned his career on his head.

Aspas is now one of La Liga's leading marksmen and caused Real Madrid no ends of problems when Celta ended their record-breaking winning run earlier this season.

And he has even appeared for the Spanish national team since - scoring on his debut at Wembley back in November.

Oh how Liverpool fans would love to see one of their biggest flops end United's European dream.

Daniel Wass

Position: Centre midfield

Age: 27

Nationality: Danish

Former clubs: Evian, Benfica, Brondby

Wass was linked with a move to the Premier League with Liverpool and Chelsea before he joined Celta from French side Evian.

The Danish international is largely used in the middle of the park but is occasionally deployed out side.

He's contributed seven goals and five assists this season, making him one of the most dangerous players in the Celta team.

Wass becomes most effective when he ventures into the final third and regularly finds himself in goalscoring positions as a result of his runs from midfield.

John Guidetti

Position: Striker

Age: 25

Nationality: Swedish

Former clubs: Celtic, Stoke, Feyenoord, Burnley, IF Brommapojkarna, Manchester City

Probably the most familiar face for English football fans in the Celta squad is Guidetti.

The former Manchester City youngster failed to make the grade at the Etihad and was eventually released by City in 2015, when he joined Celta.

But he did gain crucial experience of playing against British opposition during his loan spells at Burnley, Stoke and Celtic.

It's fair to say that Guidetti has probably not had the game time that he will have wanted this season, only starting 10 games in La Liga - but 10 starts in the Europa League make up for that.

He has repaid them with four goals and two assists in European competition - and should keep his place up front for the ties with United.
