Pitt grad transfer Cam Johnson is one of the last players John Calipari is pursuing for next season, and this morning, he told ESPN the feeling was mutual. According to Jeff Borzello, Kentucky is in Johnson's top six, along with Arizona, Ohio State, Oregon, UCLA, and TCU. The 6’8" shooting guard averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season for Pitt, shooting 44.7% from the field and 41.5% from the three-point line. He picked up an offer from Kentucky back on April 7, and will have two years of eligibility remaining at whichever school he picks. Not only does Johnson hail from Moon Township, Pennsylvania, John Calipari's hometown, his father, Gilbert, played at Pitt while Calipari was an assistant there. So, plenty of connections for a player who could be huge for next season, especially if the Cats miss on Kevin Knox. It doesn't seem that Johnson's in a hurry to make his decision, so, in the meantime, enjoy these highlights: https://youtu.be/EuApPTWBT2U
