The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is alerting consumers that Banquet's Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese may be contaminated with Salmonella. The alert, which affects 110,817 pounds of frozen meals, cautions that the brownie mix may be infected with the bacteria.The batch was produced on Jan. 26, 2017. Each frozen meal is packaged in 7.4 oz. trays with “BANQUET Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese” written on the front.The meals bear product code 3100080921 and a “BEST IF USED BY” date of July 20, 2018.Chicago-based company Conagra Brands was notified by a supplier that an ingredient used in the brownie mix may be contaminated with Salmonella.No illnesses have been reported.Consumers with questions about the public health alert can contact Conagra Brands Consumer Affairs at (800) 289-6014.
