Tonight a crossroads battle will take place at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York.  New Jersey's Michael "The Artist" Perez (24-2-2) will face Argentina's Marcelino "Nino" Lopez.  The bout will headline the third installment of Golden Boy Promotion's new fight series on ESPN that begins at 10pm eastern.

Perez, who has bounced back and forth between the lightweight and junior welterweight division, is looking to make a statement coming back from a September loss to Petr Petrov who recently dropped a hard fought decision to WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan.

The 27-year-old said that he had a great camp and that he is ready for whatever style Lopez decides to bring to the ring.

"It’s not about how I like to fight, it’s about what needs to be done to get the win. In training camp you assess what you have to do to win. Things happen and you have to adjust in the midst of the fight and I’m good at that. There are fights that I box and times I brawl," Perez explained to BoxingScene.com.

Lopez is currently riding a three fight winning streak but has been out of the ring for 17 months. He said that he worked hard in camp and believes that his defense will be a big key in coming out with the victory.

“I’m very happy to be headlining, it’s a privilege. We’ve worked so hard for so long and I feel that I deserve to be here, fighting on ESPN with Golden Boy Promotions. I consider myself an intelligent fighter who likes to listen to his corner and I try to avoid being punished.  I am always well prepared and that is my key,” Lopez explained.

Rashidi Ellis (17-0) will face John Karl Sosa (13-2) in the co-feature bout of the evening.
