Atlantic Lacrosse rolls into Easter vacation

Hunt for special eggs followed by shooting on Cape goalies
April 19, 2017

The annual easter egg hunt and skills contest for the Atlantic Lacrosse girls’ program in articulation with Cape Henlopen took place April 13 at Champions Stadium.

There were more eggs than you could shake a stick at, but the coveted sparkly eggs were the big prize winners. The girls who found them will dress for the Worcester Prep game Monday, May 8, at 4 p.m. Each girl is allowed to invite a lacrosse friend who also gets to dress.

Claudia Stazzone, Mikaylah Lindsay and Avery Miller will warm up with the team and be introduced as part of the Cape team.

The girls were divided into two age groups on the field and participated on a long toss contest, and each had a chance to take two shots at goalie Izzy Cryne or Vienna Iocona.

Players came together for some happy feet dancing with sticks above their heads before posing for a group photo, then headed off for spring vacation.

The Atlantic Lacrosse program keeps the talent pipeline flowing by blending skills and drills with actual games against outside competition, all while keeping it fun.
