FraMeSToR becomes the first release group to crack DCP on 4K UHD discs

You may have noticed FraMeSToR have been a little quiet lately, the reason they have been working in partnership with an ex-member of Slysoft and a young electronics protege to crack the AACS 2.0 DCP protection on UHD Blu-ray discs.

By modifying the firmware and electronics on a Pioneer BDR-SJ11 UHD Blu-ray burner, and a Kirby Lake based system, the team was able to copy the .mxf content file within the highly secure Digital Cinema Package using a tweaked version of Cyberlink software. After a lot of work and the discovery of a vulnerability, the FraMeSToR team were able to determine the critical device, processing, and volume keys by following low-level markers in the disk data.

The final result was the team being able to defeat the Transport Stream Content Encryption and bus encryption to export a bit-for-bit copy in the Blu-ray format on to the systems hard disk EXCLUDING AACS.

For their first ever true 4k release of all time, the team has chosen Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Whilst HDB is an awesome site, but many of its internals overrated. They laughed at FraMeSToR's encode standard of including DTS.HDMA audio in encodes about 2 years ago, now they have introduced it themselves. FraMeSToR leads the way in quality, everyone else just follows. But I am biased.

HDB insistence on FLAC in movie files when FLAC does not even exist in any movie produced is a foolish choice. Just to save a few a megabits. Poor choices, in many areas. FraMeSToR will beat HDB regularly in remux releases.

nailed it man, HDBits thinks so big of themselves just because of those internal teams out of which majority are bloat. If you take 720p for instance, hd-torrents (Hidt) has better encoders compared to HDBits for that (except a few).
