FF News
John Askey believes his Macclesfield Town side cannot dwell too much on Saturday’s defeat to Aldershot, with the focus now turning to York tomorrow night. The Silkmen suffered a 2-0 loss at the Moss Rose, following wins over Tranmere and Chester respectively. Speaking after the game, Askey said: “It’s the highs and lows of football isn’t it? We didn’t really get going, and I think they did well to come here and stop us from playing – from their point of view it was a good performance but from ours we really lacked in energy. “When the first goal went in we needed somebody to give us a bit of a lift and get us going. I think Ollie tried but it just wasn’t happening – it was difficult overall but we’ve just got to move on now and focus on the next one. We can’t get too carried away when we win and the same when we lose, we’ve still got games and we’ve just got to keep going”. A win for the Silkmen tomorrow night will help maintain the club’s chase of a play-off spot. Source: www.mtfc.co.uk Source
