Animal-masked people allegedly rob watch store at Bellagio

People wearing animal masks allegedly robbed a high-end retail store inside the Bellagio Hotel and Casino early Saturday morning, according to reports.

Las Vegas police said three "well-dressed" suspects used sledgehammers to break the glass of a Rolex Store in the hotel and steal the items, according to the Las Vegas Sun.  While there were previous reports of gunfire, cops now say no shots were fired.

It seems the getaway didn't go as planned. First, the suspects couldn't start their car in the hotel's parking garage and then they failed to carjack another driver, Lt. Carlos Hank told the paper. So they had to make a break for it on foot.

A video posted to YouTube purported to be of the suspected robbery, shows one person dressed in black in a pig's mask outside the watch store, leading two other masked people, carrying tote bags, out of the lobby.

Twitter user Kira (@Kir_Kamil) posted a picture of the person in the pig mask, saying that suspect was armed and arrested by police.

"I saw a person in a pig mask holding what looked like a gun outside the Rolex in the Bellagio," Kira told the U.K. Sun. "He was yelling."

Multiple people were detained, Hank told the Las Vegas Sun, but he had no official word on arrests as of 4:15 a.m. PT. Parts of the hotel, including the garage and casino, were on lockdown for at least an hour after the robbery, he added.
