A lawsuit claims the company false advertised sale prices

Harbor Freight Tools, a Calabasas-based national discount tool and equipment chain, just settled a class action lawsuit that may get customers money back on past purchases - possibly up to 30 percent.The lawsuit alleged that Harbor Freight falsely advertised its wares as "on sale" or "compare at" prices, even though the products had not been sold at the stated regular or comparable prices for 28 of the previous 90 days. Harbor Freight disputed the accusations and said it had complied with the law.All goods purchased between April 8, 2011 and December 15, 2016 are eligible for refunds. All claims must be submitted by Aug. 7, 2017.If you have your itemized Harbor Freight receipts and/or credit or debit card statements reflecting one or more purchases, you can file your claim online and upload the receipts. If you don't have old receipts, you can fill out a form and confirm your claim to receive a $10 gift card.
