Class of 2018 Quarterback Colson Yankoff has made a new commitment to the University of Washington.

If there were ever anything to help add fuel to the fire of the Washington/Oregon Football Rivalry it is news of a former Oregon recruit committing to Chris Peterson. Now, the Ducks have been on the wrong end of several decisions by recruits to Washington, more recently Budda Baker, and now one of the top Quarterbacks of the 2018 Recruiting Class. However, it should not be much of a surprise.

Colson Yankoff was committed to Oregon Football back in November, but then Head Coach Mark Helfrich was fired and Willie Taggart hired. Yankoff decommitted last year and announced on Wednesday he was heading to Washington to join fellow Quarterback commit Jacob Sirmon according to Scout.com.

247 Sports says his recruitment is complete and he is set to enroll with Washington early in January. As for his decision to remain in the Pac-12 Conference, “I value my education, playing in the PAC 12, competing for championships, and the absolute integrity of this coaching staff. This is about fit to me, and I do not believe there is a better fit in the country for me.”
