PlayStation VR Got A Surprise Ghostbusters Game Yesterday

by Kyle Hilliard on Mar 22, 2017 at 02:46 PM

Seemingly out of nowhere, PlayStation VR got a Ghostbusters game yesterday. The game is titled Ghostbusters is Hiring: Firehouse. In it, you explore the iconic Ghostbusters firehouse as you head in for a job interview.

You can check out a trailer for the game below.

This is different from a previous Ghostbusters VR experience which was designed as more of an amusement park attraction.

For more on that Ghostbusters experience check out this clip from an episode of The Game Informer Show below with former news editor Mike Futter discussing it as well as his chat with the director of the original film, Ivan Retiman. You can also find the interview with Reitman here.

Our Take
I stand by the 2009 Ghostbusters game as being pretty good, and I like the new film, but Ghostbusters' recent video game efforts have been underwhelming, to say the least. The trailer doesn't make this game look particularly exciting, but I admit some curiosity.
