Hours-long standoff puts Hartland neighborhood on lockdown
A heavy police presence put a Hartland subdivision under lockdown late Saturday night. Village of Hartland officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Oxford Drive for a man with a gun inside his home around 10 p.m. The Suburban Critical Incident Team was deployed temporarily, commanding the resident to drop the weapon. Family and neighbors were asked to leave their homes or stay inside for a period of a time, but were able to return around 4 a.m. when police eventually made contact with the subject and the matter was resolved.
