A MALVERN man is urging fellow residents to be wary after the catalytic converter was stolen from his van overnight.
Philip Harford of Lower Chase Road, Barnards Green, discovered the theft after starting the Peugeot Parma van this morning (Monday).
He said: "Straight away I knew there was something wrong. As soon as I dropped my wife off at work, I drove straight to the garage, and they told me the converter had been cut right out. It was all right when I drove it yesterday."
Mr Harford consulted his neighbour, who has a CCTV set-up, and they found images of two hooded figures stealing the converter between 1.10am and 1.25am this morning.
He said: "I'm wondering if anyone else has had their catalytic converter stolen like this. They wouldn't just do one, I don't think."
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident number 22CC-14503N-17.
