Democratic State Legislators To Hold Civil Liberties Seminar

Rep. Gabel, Rep. Fine, Sen. Biss to discuss "concerns, challenges and threats to civil liberties" in Evanston.

EVANSTON, Ill. – State Rep. Robyn Gabel, (D-18), is inviting area residents to join her, State Rep. Laura Fine, (D-17), and State Sen. Daniel Biss, (D-9), for a public seminar to discuss major concerns, challenges and threats to civil liberties and learn what you can do to protect your rights under the new federal administration.

The seminar will take place on Monday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Church of Evanston, 1330 Ridge Ave. in Evanston.

“Since taking office, Donald Trump has worked to advance policies that pose serious threats to individuals based on their race, religion, gender and socio-economic status” Gabel said. “These extreme actions have left people in our communities worried about their families and their futures. Now more than ever, it is important for us to come together and learn about what we can do to protect our rights.”
