Oregon Ducks Can’t Overcome Turnovers In Loss to Colorado

The Oregon Ducks fell behind early and could not catch up to Colorado losing by 10, 76-66 on Sunday.

The Colorado Buffaloes opened the game with 10-2 run and never looked back. The Oregon Ducks Offense was stifled early by the Buffs Defense. Oregon was not helped by six early turnovers that quickly changed the Colorado lead to double digits, leading by as many as 20+ points throughout the game.

Oregon fought as best they could. Sabrina Ionescu hit key three-pointers. For the game the Ducks hit just five from beyond the arc with Ionescu hitting two. Lexi Bando also had two three-pointers. Ruthy Hebard was key inside with 24 points off 9 for 12 shooting inside.

Kelly Graves watched his team out rebound Colorado, but 15 team turnovers changed into 15 points. Colorado was better with 7 steals and18 assists leading nearly the entire game over Oregon. The team got hot in the final minutes and tried to close the gap with a 20-2 run, but Colorado had too much of a lead.  The loss snaps the Ducks

The loss snaps the Ducks three-game winning streak. Oregon heads home to face Cal and Stanford later this week before the Pac-12 Tournament.

The Oregon Ducks will look to continue a two-game winning streak at Matthew Knight Arena facing the California Golden Bears on Friday night at 6pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network.
