Last Saturday the Florida Gators campus was full of 2018 prospects but the coaching staff also invited a few elite 2019 prospects on campus as well.
2019 defensive end Quashon Fuller (6-2, 240, Fort Myers, FL. South Fort Myers) was one of those underclassmen on campus and he likes the atmosphere around campus.
“It was good,” Fuller said on his Florida visit. “A lot of energy in the stadium at the basketball game. I got to tour the campus and I saw where they did their homework and studied at and the practice field.”
Fuller and his family got the full tour as well as talking to the coaches but the most impressive thing to the defensive end was how the Gators care about you off the field.
“How much they care about education and they actually try to help the players get out of here,” he said on what impressed him. “They try to help you get a diploma and that was pretty impressive.”
The coaching staff didn’t go into a whole lot of detail with Fuller about where he would play and such but they did explain what was next for him in the recruiting process.
“They tell me that they are still going to recruit me hard,” Fuller said on what the coaches told him. “They said that they will be at my school in the spring to watch me practice and talk to my coaches.”
Fuller hasn’t been around the Gainesville campus a lot but he says he wants to watch the Gators practice so he can see how the energy is around the team.
“I haven’t seen a practice or anything to see if it’s intense,” he said on Florida. “I’d like to go to a practice and see how they did things over here at Florida. I’m going to try and get up here soon for one.”
Despite having a good visit to Gainesville, Fuller still didn’t pick up an offer from the Gators but he says it would be big if he got one.
“It would mean a lot,” Fuller said on what a Florida offer would mean. “It would be an eye opener if someone like this school was to offer me.”
