Starting on January 23rd, fans will be able to visit TRANSFORMERS.COM/vote to cast their vote to help determine which character will join the ranks of Optimus Prime, Rodimus Prime and other Cybertronian legends as the next Prime of Cybertron. The fan-voted Prime will be featured in the Transformers Generations toy line and brand’s Prime Wars Trilogy storytelling in 2018.
The first round of voting will begin on January 23rd, when fans can visit Transformers.com to choose between three groups of candidates – Honor, Chaos and Order.
· Honor: These legendary warriors will lead with honor and carry on the noble legacy of Optimus Prime.
· Chaos: These powerful warlords will stop at nothing to become supreme leader of Cybertron, even if it means creating a chaotic world where only the strongest survive.
· Order: These commanders vow to leave the Autobot and Decepticon factions in the past and unite Cybertron under a new order.
Four finalists will be chosen by the fans and revealed by Hasbro in late January. Fans can then have the final say by returning to Transformers.com to vote between February 1st and February 4th. The winning Prime will be officially unveiled during New York Toy Fair in February.

that was furmans creation matrix NOT the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Galvatron and Scourge both tried to use it, and it turned out very bad for them. heck even Ultra-Magnus wasn't worthy...that should say a lot in itself
Magnus not being able to use the Matrix wasn't about worthiness. He wasn't the chosen one and it wasn't the Autobots' "darkest hour" when he tried to use it...

Honor - Hound, Ultra Magnus, Arcee
Chaos - "Unknown Evil" (Deathsaurus), Thunderwing, Optimus Primal
Order - Megatron, Shockwave, Star Saber
Doesn't it seem like Primal and Megatron should be flipped? Since when is Primal, the zen naturalist, a chaotic warlord?

Honor: Hound, Ultra Magnus, Arcee
Chaos: Unknown Evil (AKA Deathsaurus), Thunderwing, Optimus Primal
Order: Megatron, Shockwave, Star Saber
Full bios have also been provided below. It is especially interesting considering Optimus Primal is considered 'Chaos', which did throw some fans for a loop. The Primal bio also implies he is the King of the IDW colony planet Eukaris, suggesting they are pulling some (but not all, cough Star Saber cough) comic strings into this vote.
You can vote everyday as long as the vote is active as well. So go to the link above and cast your vote! The next Matrix bearer is waiting!

I ovted Arcee, Thunderwing and Shockwave...
Mainly cos I just want a new voyager-sized Thunderwing. He's one of my all time fave TF characters (well, the Marvel one is) and still yet to have a decent toy. 2010 Deluxe as fine but too small and a lil kibble-heavy with the wings. And he's held the Matrix in those Marvel tales too.

For my picks, I went with the down-to-Earth underdog (pun unintended), the guy from the series that the current Hasbro team keeps ignoring, and the obscure Japanese hero who's never had a Hasbro toy.D-Maximus_Prime wrote:Sabr and I vote for the same characters?? Magnus and Arcee were both emphasizing "fighting" too much, Unknown Evil and Thunderwing were too obviously corrupt, and both Megatron and Shockwave have gotten and keep getting plenty of new toys.

For me, I really like Hound and I feel his characterizations through the years make him a very good Prime candidate.
As much as I like Deathsaurus, I like Primal more, and it's time he officially became a matrix bearer.
And Star saber is very similar to Primal. I like the character and I think he also deserves to finally become a matrix bearer. Megatron was a close second, but I think Saber deserves it more

I'm actually kind of amazed they justified Primal's position in Chaos with "sometimes crazy works". That's really digging deep and a huge stretch and I kind of love it. That aside, I really like the idea of him being the king of Eukaris! I sort of wanna see him face down with Cybertron Scourge now...

A voyager Thunderwing would be amazing. I'm disappointed I missed out on Thunder Mayhem at the subscription prices.

I voted Deathsaurus for chaos, because he is someone who needs some western love, as he was a cool villain who never made it overseas. and no, I don't count the recent skylynx repaint. Primal to me would be a cop out. and we have already had a Primal Prime in the past. though I wouldn't mind an update. beastwars does need some love. and then thunderwing... just give us a new voyager+ scale one and we will call it good.
lastly I went with Megatron, though this was a tough choice for me. one, Shockwave is one of my top faves, and I feel he needs a proper CHUG toy. Star saber like deathsaurus, needs a new toy, and is also one of my faves. however, in my mind star saber is already a prime. at least thats the role he filled in Victory. I know the comic version is a completely diffrent animal, and I would think star saber is due a toy regardless of whether he wins the prime vote or not. Megatron becoming a prime though, after everything that has happened, the dynamic changes hes gone through in the comics as well, just to finally get what hes been after from the beginning, the story possibilities write themselves. at the same time though im not sure we need another megs toy. maybe I shoulda voted shockwave X_X

I voted for Hound for Honour, Optimus Primal for Chaos (the "Sometimes crazy works" in his quote is a nice touch) and Star Saber for Order. Though I'm not expecting any of them to get through to the next round. I had a look at the comments on the Facebook post, and most of it is just people complaining because Optimus Primal is in the Chaos category and Ultra Magnus is a candidate despite screwing up his chance to be a Prime in the movie.

Sigma Magnus wrote:*not voting*
How come?
With the inclusion of those bios, I'm finding it really tough to decide. I get that we're more than likely voting for what figure we want, but I can not in good conscience let that determine my choice. As the line will hopefully include numerous figures, I cross my fingers every candidate will be represented.
HonoUr: Arcee
While Hound may actually be a good leader, I feel his bio suggests he'd carry on along a similar path as Optimus. As Sabrblade mentioned, Magnus' bio seems to focus heavily on his warrior credentials and his drive to keep fighting. Arcee's talk of reforming her own ways in order to lead Cybertron I think is the most honourable.
Chaos: Unknown Evil
This one was tough. A transformed Cybertron, an unknown power of the Matrix or the return of Beast Wars? With a title like Power of The Primes, I live in the small hope the plural nature may suggest the return of the Original Thirteen, and the 'unknown evil' sounds like the best chance of getting that. (But I wouldn't want transforming figures of them.) Ultimately I went for my choice because his rule of Cybertron doesn't automatically mean that Thunderwing's unique connection to the Matrix or Eukaris ceases to exist, but I think I'm going to agonize over this for a while.
Order: Shockwave
Megatron sounds like he's up to his usual tricks. If the Matrix chose Optimus way back in the beginning of The Great War, I don't see why it'd choose Megatron now. Star Sabre sounds a little hippy-dippy in his quote. Shockwave makes a good point.
For the record though, I would like a Star Sabre and more Beast figures.
One question for anyone; does Star Sabre's status as Supreme Commander mean he outranks Optimus?
Posted by Wolfman Jake on January 23rd, 2017 @ 1:24pm CST
Honor - Ultra Magnus - He seems most befitting of ascension to Prime. I think he can handle that now. Hound and Arcee are just odd, random choices, in my opinion, not that either would make for a terrible Prime. I just don't think either would have such aspirations.
Chaos - Optimus Primal - I'm not going to pick one of the two obvious bad guys.
Order - Megatron - Yes, I just said I didn't want to pick a "bad guy," but Megatron's evolution (heel to face turn) over the past few years in the IDW comics makes this such an intriguing possibility. Thematically, I like the idea of him getting what he has always wanted by giving up his millennia long militant strategy.

This is for the toy line story, not the comic line. The bios given clash heavily with how the characters are portrayed in the comics. The comics will certainly tie it in somehow, but that doesn't mean the Matrix will be involved in their story.
