Nioh is near, and Team Ninja is about as excited to release the game as fans are to play it. After a beta last August, the developers have been hard at work to bring Nioh to PlayStation 4 systems around the world. While the game isn't due out until February 7, Team Ninja is giving fans one last chance to get ready for the game's release. The Last Chance Trial demo will be available for download "later today," allowing you to have it ready to go once the trial unlocks this weekend.
If you're interested in trying out the last Nioh demo, it's best not to delay. The trial will only be available this weekend, with the demo shutting down after January 22. If you manage to make it through the Last Chance Trial, you'll receive extra rewards that you can carry over to the full game next month. There's a main mission and a twilight mission available in the demo, with both offering bonus rewards. The main mission awards the Ogress Headgear, while the twilight mission gives players one last opportunity to get the Mark of the Conqueror and Mark of the Strong items that were rewards from last year's alpha and beta tests.
The headgear will be carried over from your Last Chance Trial save data into the full Nioh game, so hold onto it until the game launches. Similarly, the two marks from the twilight mission will prompt you to download DLC that you'll have to store on your PS4 until the game launches. Once you have your demo bonuses, you can visit shrines inside the game to receive the benefits of the two marks. Nioh launches on PlayStation 4 systems starting February 7, but the Last Chance Trial is only available this weekend on January 21 and 22. Fans can preload the demo now so they can play as soon as it unlocks.
I believe i'll be picking his one up on release date...going to DL the demo this week for sure though...hopefully it'll be good.
This game has had a very generous Alpha and Beta already and I have a feeling that this Demo will offer the same 3-4 hours of content those did.
Team Ninja have set about this game in the right way. They have been open to fan feedback from the start. The Alpha was full of ideas that worked and didn't, but Team Ninja didn't go into this game with an ego they were open to change everything the players didn't like. This in turn lead to a Beta that was drastically smoother and different to the Alpha, so I would not be surprised if this Demo is the smoothest most refined version of the game.
Team Ninja have faith in this product. Those that played the Alpha and Beta have already played like 10 hours of this game for free. Now they are giving away more levels for free and free DLC rewards for completing them. This game could be something special.
