The former Oregon Ducks Infielder made his transfer announcement on Twitter earlier this week.

Matt Kroon found himself in the Starting Lineup for the Oregon Ducks Baseball team twenty times last season  but ultimately decided to leave the program just a few weeks before the start of the 2017 campaign.

Kroon will transfer to Central Arizona College and join a team that went 45-14 last season according to the Daily Emerald. Kroon has been removed from the roster page on the Oregon Baseball website.

Kroon hit .235 and had 5 RBI’s playing in a total of 35 games as a Freshman for the Oregon Ducks. Kyle Kassar and Daniel Patzlaff lead the 2017 Infielders for Oregon Baseball. Carson Breshears will also see playing time. A.J, Balta is a Utility player who primarily plays in the Outfield, but he has also seen time at 1st and 2nd base.

The Oregon Ducks will begin 2017 with little pressure. They were not ranked among the Top 25 to start the season. Coach George Horton begins his 9th year at the helm for Oregon and the season is fast approaching.
