Ali G
I'd like to think we match them in size tbh, but when you look at their away attendances they beat us hands down and are now selling out at home. We'll take just over 1k on Friday and Leeds took 2.5k on a fri on sky etc. Also our away support at their place has been embarrassing last couple of seasons. Suppose them being a one team City helps a lot

WalkleyWeds
the 'big club' debate is one that will forever split opinions as there are lots of different ways to look at it. But yes if we are talking away support - and using every ounce of my strength not to slag them off - they do have a good following, helped very much by being a 1 team city. I also saw something a couple of years ago about the number of viewers when they are live on Sky and they were some way ahead of the other teams (not sure if this would still be true with Newcastle being here this season). Haha that felt rotten, can someone please say something awful about them now?
Adem Poric
I'll tell you a funny story. Leeds used to be a giant motor show room called "Campions". They sold early model Fords. One of those early model Ford cars was called the "Europe". They had a big sign outside saying "Here at Campions, we sell the Europe".
swfc1983
Leeds are a far bigger club than anyone.....champions of Europe don't you know

Ever the pessimist
Until 70s, no. Now, in reality the population and wealth of the city, plus the trappings of their more recent success than ours, means yes. In the same way the blunts are worried we will eventually get it right, some of our fanbase are probably a little wary of Leeds getting it right. It would not impact on us as much as if we were the same city, but still a regional aspect.

vulva
Biggest club in this league. Also think they have play off losing finalists written all over them. It's just that kind of club.

full fathom five
One city team so they should be, imagine Sheffield with just one team (I know it already is) or Manchester,Liverpool or Birmingham. When you look at it like that their support looks pretty poor to be honest.

torres
This season was make or break for their home support - luckily for them it's been a good one so far and they are getting decent attendances. At the start of the year they were lucky if they broke the 20k mark While their away figures are excellent, these numbers are swelled by the amount of "fans" they have amassed over the country during their very good years. Champions league, big spending etc, lots of people getting on the bandwagon
eckington owl
Their away support is one of the best in the country, in my opinion.
