The Track and Field Indoor Season started over the weekend and the Oregon Ducks were impressive to start the 2017 season.

The Oregon Ducks Women’s Track and Field team set several records with seven event wins along with setting NCAA Marks to begin the year at the UW Indoor Preview. The big story for Oregon was Hannah Cunliffe who was injured last summer on her attempt to get to Rio. She started the season strong taking the 60 meters in 7.19 seconds. The time is the fifth fastest in U of O History.

Raevyn Rogers had a strong start to the season winning the 600 meters. She was a hair off her record setting time last season and Deajah Stevens returned following her trip to Rio with a personal best in the 60 Meters.

On the Men’s Side, Kyree King transferred to Oregon for his final season of eligibility and earned a win in the 60 meters at 6.55 seconds. The time was the second-fastest in school history and the fastest time in the NCAA this season. In Field Events, some talented Freshman for Oregon started their careers with high marks. Sebastian Barajas finished 7th in the Shotput.

Ryan Hunter-Simms finished 2nd in the Pole Vault for the Ducks. Ben Milligan had a second place finish in the High Jump at the UW Indoor Preview.
