Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has started to assemble his coaching staff. Five coaches have agreed to join McDermott's staff and one coach has been retained. Here's a look at each coach.

DC Leslie Frazier

Frazier joins the Bills after a one-year stint as the Baltimore Ravens' defensive backs coach. Pro Football Focus ranked the unit as the tenth best in the league this season.

Frazier also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2014-2015 as the team's defensive coordinator. His longest stint in the NFL came with the Minnesota Vikings. From 2007-2010, Frazier served as the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach before being named the interim head coach. He was named the permanent head coach in 2011 and went 18-29-1. His best season with the Vikings came in 2012 when he led Minnesota to a 10-6 record.

Special teams coach Danny Crossman

Crossman was a part of Doug Marrone's coaching staff in 2013 and remained with the team during Rex Ryan's coaching tenure. Crossman and McDermott never coached with one another, but both spent extensive time with the Carolina Panthers. Crossman was with the Panthers from 2003-2009 as a special teams assistant and eventually their special teams coach.

Offensive line coach Juan Castillo

Castillo joins the Bills from the Baltimore Ravens. He served as Baltimore's offensive line coach for the last three seasons. McDermott and Castillo were both members of the Philadelphia Eagles' coaching staff from 1998-2010. After McDermott joined the Carolina Panthers' coaching staff, Castillo replaced McDermott as the Eagles' defensive coordinator.

Linebackers coach Bob Babich

Babich was the San Diego Chargers' linebackers coach in 2016. His NFL coaching career began in 2003 with the St. Louis Rams as the team's linebackers coach. From 2004-2012 Babich was a member of the Chicago Bears' coaching staff. He served as the linebackers coach in Chicago and had a stint as the team's defensive coordinator from 2007-2009 before being demoted back to linebackers coach. Before his most recent stop in San Diego, Babich was the Jacksonville Jaguars' defensive coordinator from 2013-2015.

Defensive line coach Mike Waufle

Waufle, a Hornell, NY native, is held in high regard around the league for his work with defensive linemen. Waufle joins the Bills from the Los Angeles Rams. He had been with the Rams since 2012. During his stint with the Rams the team recorded 217 sacks, the third most in the league according to Bills' media relations department.

Waufle began coaching defensive linemen in the NFL in 1998. He has two stints with the Raiders (1998-2003; 2010-2011) and a six-year stint with the New York Giants (2004-2009) that included a Super Bowl championship.

Amy Trask of CBS Sports praised the addition to McDermott's staff.

Tight ends coach Rob Boras

Boras joins the Bills after a two-year stint as the Rams' offensive coordinator. Before becoming the Rams' offensive coordinator, Boras spent three years coaching the Rams' tight ends. He was also the tight ends coach of the Chicago Bears (2004-2009) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2011-2012).

Buffalo's press release on Boras notes that his first 11 years coaching was in the college ranks. That included one season as Benedictine's head coach in 1998 where Boras went 3-7.

Running backs coach Kelly Skipper

Skipper spent the last two seasons as the running backs coach for the Jaguars before joining the Bills. Before coaching in Jacksonville, Skipper was an assistant with the Oakland Raiders from 2007 to 2014. He coached tight ends for his first two seasons in Oakland before becoming the running backs coach.

Assistant offensive line coach Andrew Dees

Dees began his NFL coaching career with the Bills in 2012 as the team's assistant offensive line coach. Following one season with the Bills, Dees spent three seasons with the San Diego Chargers in the same role. Dees, a Syracuse University graduate, is from Babylon, New York.
