Blue Pillar Raises $10M in Financing

bluepillerBlue Pillar, a Frederick, MD-based Internet of Things (IoT) platform provider connecting Energy Things, raised $10m in financing.

Backers included new investors GXP Investments and Elevate Ventures and existing investors EnerTech Capital, Allos Ventures, Arsenal Venture Partners, and Claremont Creek Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds for customer acquisition.

Led by Tom Willie, CEO, Blue Pillar provides an IoT solution connecting energy things. The Blue Pillar Aurora® platform, installed at large energy providers and commercial facilities such as Walmart, Target, and Comcast as well as at higher education campuses, including University of Hawaii and Texas A&M University, leverages real-time data to strengthen critical infrastructure to provide new energy services, centralize facilities, operates safe hospitals, enable microgrid and manage energy.
The platform is automated through a template-driven process where security is built-in from sensor to cloud.
