Authorities investigate bank robbery on Tucson's NW side

PIMA COUNTY, AZ ( Tucson News Now) - Authorities are looking for a man in connection with a bank robbery on the northwest side Thursday night, Dec. 8.

Dep. Cody Gress, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department, said the suspect walked into the Compass Bank near North La Cañada Drive and River Road around 5:45 p.m.

"(He) walked up to the bank teller and placed a note on the counter, demanding the cash from the drawer," Gress said in a news release. "The teller gave the cash to the suspect, at which time he exited the store."

The suspect has been described as a white man in his early to mid 20s, 5-foot-6 with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white hat, a dark hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.
