Oregon Football enters the Willie Taggert Era and is ready to help him succeed.

Assistant Coaches are an important part of College Football. Taggart has been tasked with setting the table for the Oregon Ducks to succeed. We know that success will not come overnight, but if you have the right people in place, it makes the job easier.

Mark Helfrich brought Brady Hoke to Oregon before last season thinking Hoke would help. He didn’t. In the end it coast Helfrich his job and likely Hoke as well.

Oregon is putting Taggart in the position so the same Defensive mistake does not happen again.

According to 247Sports, Mullens and Company are looking to drop over $4 million in to the pool for Assistants. It is more than the highest of the Pac-12 schools currently. The UCLA Bruins have roughly $3.95 million on their Assistant Coaches.

Willie Taggart’s top priority outside of recruiting before the start of the dead period next week is to work on getting a Defensive Coordinator in place. Having the right resources at his disposal should make his job easier.
