Officials close some city streets ahead of Army-Navy football game

Heavy traffic expected for Saturday's game

Heavy traffic is expected downtown for the Army vs. Navy football game at M&T Bank Stadium Saturday. The game starts at 3 p.m. and the Baltimore City Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan ahead. Officials are asking motorists to plan ahead and allow additional travel time. Along with congested traffic conditions downtown, especially in the stadium complex area, temporary road closures may also be implemented, officials said. In preparation for the game, the following streets will be closed to through traffic on Saturday: - Camden Street between Howard and Russell Streets: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.- Eutaw Street between Pratt and Camden Streets: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.- Hamburg Street between Russell and Leadenhall Streets: closed as needed- Ostend Street between Warner and Sharp Streets: closed as needed- I-395/MLK Ramp "D" to westbound Lee Street: closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Officials said all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium will be strictly enforced. People attending the game, who do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots, are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including mass transit, Light Rail, Metro Subway or the Charm City Circulator, officials said. Those who chose to drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoods, officials said. Transportation enforcement officers will enforce all posted parking restrictions in the vicinity of the stadium and vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed. People with questions concerning the location of their vehicle should call 311.
