Oregon Football: Willie Taggart May Be The Favorite For Ducks

Despite the search for a Head Coach still ongoing for Oregon Football, Willie Taggart remains the favorite.

Rob Mullens has taken the show on the road – again. He started the quest for the Oregon Ducks next Head Coach in Texas where he wrapped up the final rankings in the College Football Playoff over the weekend. The search now is ongoing in New York.

UPDATE:

Parker Executive Search has done some groundwork over the last few weeks and will present their findings in the form of Coaching ‘Candidates’ to Oregon Ducks Athletic Director Rob Mullens. With the season over now for everyone in College Football there could be some viable wildcard candidates for Oregon Football to consider.

On Thursday, University of South Florida Head Coach Willie Taggart sat down with Mullens in Texas and according to SportsTalkFlorida. He is still the favorite to land the job in Eugene and is considered a favorite from ‘Ducks Nation’.

Next: Oregon Football Coaching Search Moves to New York

Rob Mullens has also met with Greg Schiano and may meet with PJ Fleck this week concerning the Oregon Football opening.

The only timeline we know is that Mullens wants to have someone in house within the next 7 to 10 days, ahead of the last day coaches can contact recruits on December 13th.
