This is our weekly look at the most popular — or in some cases our personal favorite — videos on Clippit over the past week. Clippit is an awesome app that allows us to quickly grab 30-second clips from several live TV broadcasts and share them on social media.

Steve Levy and Brian Griese were cowboys in the booth for the Mountain West title game

Howdy. ESPN’s Steve Levy and Brian Griese made sure to dress appropriately for the Mountain West Championship game between the Wyoming Cowboys and San Diego Aztecs on Saturday night in Laramie, Wyoming.

Fox had a rough time with the Washington PAC-12 title trophy presentation

Fox reporter Rob Stone had a very awkward couple of minutes after Washington beat Colorado to win the PAC-12 championship.

Our Andrew Bucholtz explains the first video:

First, the network came back from commercial and had announcer Joe Davis set up the trophy presentation from Rob Stone, but Stone asked how far away they were on a live mic,  was told “Not at all, we’re there,” and then asked “Are they talking to me?”

Just moments later, Stone was presenting Washington’s Taylor Rapp with the MVP… and called him Tyler. Taylor made sure to correct Stone, to complete the awkwaaaaaaaaard sequence:

Gus Johnson had a very poor choice of words about Penn State’s Big Ten title win

A “milestone in the healing process.” Yikes. Awful Announcing’s Sean Keeley went off about this one.

Things got emotional for Verne Lundquist’s final SEC broadcast

So I saved this one for last, because there are a lot of Clippits for it (and I hope you’ll enjoy all of them).

Verne Lundquist announced his final SEC game on Saturday at the SEC Championship game, and he was most certainly recognized by those in attendance, as well as by his colleagues at CBS.

Verne was recognized by the PA announcer in-game, and got a huge ovation from the fans at the Georgia Dome. You could tell how much the awesome moment meant to him:

And after the game, Verne and his longtime broadcasting partner Gary Danielson had a very emotional moment together:

That was followed by CBS putting together this fantastic montage of Verne and the SEC. It’s worth watching all seven of the videos (via Nicholas Ramos on Clippit):

A very well deserved tribute for Uncle Verne.
