The Oregon Ducks will meet Miami(Ohio) in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday afternoon.

The Oregon Ducks and Miami(Ohio) Redhawks have both been Road Warriors this season. Miami comes in at 24-6 on the season and have a balanced Offense that includes Hitter Jamie Tomasic who is hitting .319 entering the Tournament. Paige Hill is in the middle and averages over 2 kills per set and hits at .363.

Amanda Benson and Lindsey Vander Weide lead the Ducks. Benson needs just 87 digs to set a new U of O Record in the category. Vander Weide has been the most consistent player on Offense this season averaging close to 4 points per set and hitting at a .265 clip.

After a rough start to the season, the Oregon Ducks reeled off seven straight wins to work their way back into the rankings. In the end, they needed road wins in the final two weeks to host this weekend, but it was not to be.

It’s a fresh start for the team and they are looking at it exactly that way. The NCAA Tournament gets started for the Oregon Ducks on Thursday at 2:30pm Pacific Time at the University of Michigan.
