E! News can confirm the actress, 43, and the visual artist, 33, finalized their divorce on Thursday after three years of marriage. Neither party is asking for spousal support.
McGowan originally filed for divorce in February, citing irreconcilable differences as the ultimate reason for their split and noting they had separated in May 2015 after just a year and a half of marriage.
At the time of the filing, McGowan asked the judge to reject any requests for spousal support from Leavitt and said that the two divided their assets outside of court.
Just hours after news of the divorce hit headlines, McGowan stepped out for a Moschino fashion event in West Hollywood.
Since then, she's dedicated her time to battling against sexual assault in the film industry. In October, she revealed a past experience in which she was raped and proclaimed it an "open secret in Hollywood." A few days later, she wrote an open letter asking for Hollywood to "stop rewarding" sexual predators.
Meanwhile, McGowan and Levitt originally tied the knot in October 2013 at the Paramour Mansion in Los Angeles.
Before that, McGowan was famously engaged to Marilyn Manson in 2001. She also dated director Robert Rodriguez in the years following her split from Manson. However, they parted ways in 2009.
