A delegation of Indian parliamentarians have visited the Carbon Trust as part of an international exchange trip to share approaches to promote low carbon growth. The visit was arranged by the Climate Parliament, an international cross-party network of legislators, with support from the UK government’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

The objective of the trip is to help legislators support momentum for climate action. This includes building networks with organisations working in the low carbon goods and services sector in the UK, who can share lessons and support the implementation of projects in India.

The six-person delegation sit on key environmental committees within India’s parliament. The learnings from the visit will be written up into a policy and programme report that will be shared with other MPs.
