Just in time for Halloween, Facebook is introducing its version of Snapchat's animated lenses.The feature is being added to the live streaming video service Facebook offers.The feature, called masks, will be available within Facebook's app as well as the Mentions app for verified users.The company says the feature will be rolling out over the next few days for people using Facebook Live using iPhones in the United States, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. "In the coming months, we will make masks available to people sharing live video via Android devices and in more countries," the company added.According to Facebook. you’ll be able to try on a variety of different masks when you’re sharing live video.Like Snapchat, Facebook will periodically swap out the masks for different styles. The initial set debuting now will include Halloween-themed masks.According to Mashable, Facebook had previously tested similar overlays in its app in Brazil.Here’s how to go live with a mask:- Tap the Live Video icon at the top of your Timeline, News Feed or Page.- Once you are live, tap the magic wand in the upper left corner of your screen.- Select the masks icon in the creative tools tray at the bottom of your screen.- Scroll through the options and tap on masks to have them automatically appear on your face when you are live.- To remove the mask, simply scroll left in the mask trap and tap the no mask sign.The company says it's also releasing a set of limited-edition Halloween reactions that turn the Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry reactions into Halloween-themed symbols that come to life when you tap on them. Get the WCVB News App
