CASTING:
After auditioning over 1,800 girls from around the world, Netflix, Northwood Entertainment and CBC have announced the casting of fourteen-year-old Irish-Canadian actress Amybeth McNulty in the lead role of Anne Shirley in the upcoming series “Anne.”
The character is described as a precocious and imaginative young orphan in the late 1890s who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, is mistakenly sent to live with an aging sister and brother. The series is based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic novel “Anne of Green Gables.”
Also starring as the siblings who adopt Anne, are Tony nominee Geraldine James and veteran Canadian stage and television actor R.H. Thomson. The series is currently shooting in Canada.

“The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” will be filmed in Paris for the first time and broadcast on CBS Monday Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
The lingerie show, which merges fashion, fantasy and entertainment, will be broadcast in over 190 countries and will feature model profiles and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the show in Paris. Victoria’s Secret Angels lined up for the performance include Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Elsa Hosk and Jasmine Tookes.
EXECUTIVE MOVES:
Annick Oppenheim and Caryn Leeds have joined Wolf Kasteler Public Relations as senior account executives.
Oppenheim will be based in the Los Angeles office and Leeds in the New York office. Both of them were previously at Sunshine Sachs.
