MUMBAI – Amazon India has announced a long-term licensing deal with Vishesh Films for upcoming and library titles to bow on its Prime Video streaming service.

The exclusive deal follows similar ones signed by Amazon in recent weeks with Dharma Productions and T-Series.

“Digital is the future and I am bringing it now to the Bollywood audiences worldwide. I believe this move will be a game changer for the industry,” said Vishesh Bhatt, MD of Vishesh Films. The company was formed in 1986 by Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt and has produced more than 50 films.

“Prime Video India will showcase Vishesh Films’ repertoire of films from horror to thrillers to romance, all coupled with soulful music that has become a trademark of their movies,” said Nitesh Kripalani, director and country head, Amazon Prime Video India.
