Looking for some fun? This weekend, the Halloween season gets in full swing, with festivals and trick-or-treating a-plenty. There’s also an air show, an Asian festival and a charity hockey tournament. Here are our picks for this weekend:
ALL WEEKEND
AIR SHOW IN HUNTINGTON BEACH: The inaugural Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow is this weekend with stunts of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Breitling Jet Team, as well as the Red Bull Sky Divers. This family-friendly, free event is Saturday and Sunday with a practice day on Friday. Friday practices begin at noon. The event benefits the Aerospace Education Foundation of Huntington Beach. ASIAN PACIFIC FESTIVAL: The Asian Pacific Festival is 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Newport Dunes Water Resort & Marina, 1131 Back Bay Drive. Festivalgoers will experience a virtual tour of many Asian countries — China, Japan, Korea, India, Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia, to name a few — through native music, cultural exhibits, a scholarship pageant featuring traditional costumes and attire, and authentic Asian foods. “BILLY & RAY”: Laguna Playhouse’s staging of Mike Bencivenga’s 2014 comedy about director Billy Wilder and writer Raymond Chandler gives us a diverting view of the continuous clashes of two men who couldn’t be more unalike – yet their complementary talents, as the play depicts, were vital to the creation of the 1944 thriller “Double Indemnity’s” innovative final script. CHARITY TOURNAMENT: The 10th annual Give Blood Play Hockey Charity Tournament will be Thursday-Sunday at The Rinks, 3150 Barranca Parkway in Irvine, to benefit Children’s Hospital of Orange County. There will be opportunities for attendees to donate blood and hair and participate in a silent auction or a raffle. “THE PRODUCERS”: The Academy of Performing Art unleashes Mel Brooks’ madcap musical comedy “The Producers” Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Huntington Beach High, 1905 Main St. Evening and matinees available. Tickets are $16-$22. Information: 714-536-2514, hbapa.org.

LILY TOMLIN AT SEGERSTROM: Comedian Lily Tomlin remains so popular a live draw that she can book her one-woman show into theaters such as Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa, where she performs Saturday, practically any time she likes. She will be riffing on current and cultural events through the voices of 10 or 12 of the characters she’s created over the years, such as Ernestine, the nosy, snort-laughing telephone operator, and Edith Ann, a precocious 51/2-year-old girl. SAN CLEMENTE OKTOBERFEST: Enjoy local craft beer and eats from Pizza Port, Left Coast, Artifex, Laguna Beach Beer Company and Lost Winds Brewing Company, as well as from food trucks. Hear live music. You can play and watch games such as Keg Bowling, Beer Stein Holding, Brat Toss, Beer Pong Competition and a Wiener Dog Fashion Show. TRUNK OR TREAT CAR SHOW: The Dainty Dames Trunk or Treat Car Show on Saturday is for all classic car owners and will benefit the National Down Syndrome Society. It will feature the car show, live music, trick or treating, Day of the Dead pin ups, a costume contest and a 50/50 raffle. All cars and vendors must preregister. Original Mike’s, 100 S. HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL: The Los Alamitos Race Course is hosting its annual Halloween Carnival on Saturday at 4961 Katella Ave. 6 p.m. There will be a costume parade in age groups, with cash prizes of up to $200. Carnival games, pony rides, candy, jockey autographs and a photo booth are part of the fun. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Cypress and the Race Track Chaplaincy. TRUNK OR TREATING: The Buena Park Elks’ Trunk or Treat Safety Carnival is noon-3 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 7212 Melrose St. The event is free to attend, with children ages 4 to 12 receiving a free lunch. HARVEST FESTIVAL: This year’s Harvest Festival takes place 2-5 p.m. Saturday at Founder’s Park, 28275 Avendale Blvd. in Ladera Ranch. The event features a chili cook-off and craft fair. Presale tickets are available for $5 at laderalife.com. A ticket booth opens at 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
LA HABRA POLICE OPEN HOUSE: Tour the La Habra Police station and the jail, see K-9 demonstrations, enjoy food and have fun at the department’s open house on Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 150 N. Euclid St., La Habra.

WINGS, WHEELS AND ROTORS EXPO: One of the biggest annual free events in the county is here – the Wings, Wheels and Rotors Exposition from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Joint Forces Training Base, 11200 Lexington Drive.
